Connected in K12 Plus

All programs in one foundation
- The problem
Disconnected systems make student support harder than it needs to be.
Most districts are managing special programs across multiple systems. The tools may work on their own, but they do not always work together. K12 Plus brings programs, people, plans, and student information into one organized foundation.

- FAQ
Questions districts often ask.
Is K12 Plus built only for public school districts?
No. While K12 Plus was purpose-built to meet the compliance and workflow needs of public school districts, our platform also supports private schools, charter schools, and other educational organizations that manage special programs. The system is flexible and configurable to meet each organization’s unique processes while providing the same powerful tools for managing accommodations, interventions, special education, Section 504, RTI/MTSS, LPAC, and related programs.
What special programs does K12 Plus support?
K12 Plus provides a comprehensive platform for managing the full spectrum of K-12 special programs. Our integrated modules include Special Education (IEP), Section 504, RTI/MTSS, LPAC/English Learner Services with additional program support continuing to expand. By managing all programs within a single platform, districts gain a unified student record, streamlined workflows, improved compliance, and better collaboration among educators, administrators, and families.
What is the implementation process for a District that is currently using a special programs system and they purchase K12 Plus?
Migrating to K12 Plus is designed to be simple and seamless. We import your student, staff, and user data, along with each student’s current program information and the latest copy of their plan or document. Once the data is migrated, everything is available within K12 Plus, allowing your team to pick up exactly where they left off in their legacy system with minimal disruption.
How secure is your application?
Our platform leverages enterprise-grade AWS cloud infrastructure, encrypts data both in transit and at rest, implements role-based access controls, maintains comprehensive audit logging, and follows secure software development practices. To provide districts with additional assurance, K12 Plus is currently undergoing certification and authorization for SOC 2, HIPAA, TX-RAMP, and GovRAMP, aligning our security program with many of the most rigorous standards for protecting sensitive student and educational data.
How do you integrate with Student Information System platforms.
Rather than building and maintaining separate custom integrations for each SIS vendor (such as PowerSchool, Skyward, Ascender, or Infinite Campus), K12 Plus connects once to the district’s Ed-Fi Operational Data Store (ODS) through the Texas Education Exchange. This allows student, staff, enrollment, attendance, demographics, and other core data to flow securely and automatically into K12 Plus time while eliminating duplicate data entry and simplifying ongoing maintenance.. Expected release date for this feature is Dec 2026.
Does our district have to buy all four pillar modules (RTI, IEP, 504, and LPAC)?
No. K12 Plus modules can be purchased individually, including Special Education (IEP), Section 504, RTI/MTSS, and LPAC. However, districts realize the greatest value when all special programs are managed in a single, integrated platform, allowing student information, services, accommodations, and program data to flow seamlessly across programs while reducing duplicate data entry and improving collaboration.
